Putnam County Middle School is excited to announce a new teaching and learning initiative that will fulfill our mission of "ensuring a high level of learning for every student." With "Learning Transformed", our students will be prepared for life outside the four walls of their classrooms. This comprehensive initiative incorporates technology (which includes one-to-one device distribution) and personalization (customized learning experiences to meet the individual needs of students).
This means all students will be given the opportunity to enhance their learning through access to a technology device within the guidelines of the policies, regulations, and procedures set forth by the school system. PCMS believes that preparing students to succeed in the 21st century and to compete in a global community requires digitally literate students with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills who are connected with the world around them. The PCMS Learning Transformed initiative allows students to develop these skills in the classroom while personalized plans allow for students to move through course content at their own pace and with the support of their teacher. |
