Wait! Before you click on that link to Wikipedia or "Google" your topic...
We all know it's tempting to just "Google" any topics we need to research, and while Google and other sites like Wikipedia do offer valid information, for serious research you need to dig deeper. This page is your access to GALILEO and other databases that provide your ticket to scholarly journals along with full-text articles, magazines, encyclopedias and other resources to help take your research beyond Google.
What is a database, anyway?
Think of a database as a special kind of toy box. You put all of your toys in the box and it shuffles them around and puts them in order. You can then ask for specific types of toys, like only red ones or all of the dolls, but not the GI Joes. The special toybox will then quickly give you what you ask for! A database is just like this toy, except it contains information like articles, journals and other sources for research.
